Health screenings July 31 at Norwood Crossing

Life Line Screening, a leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings, will offer noninvasive and painless health screenings from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, in the Norwegian Heritage Room at Norwood Crossing, 6016-20 N. Nina Ave., in Chicago.

Five screenings will be offered that scan for potential problems related to: blocked arteries, which is a leading cause of stroke; abdominal aortic aneurysms, which can lead to a ruptured aorta; hardening of the arteries in the legs, which is a strong predictor of heart disease; atrial fibrillation or irregular heart beat which is closely tied to stroke risk; and a bone density screening, for men and women, used to assess the risk of osteoporosis.

Register for a wellness package which includes four vascular tests and osteoporosis screening at a cost of $159 ($149 with the Life Line Screening discount). All five screenings take 60 to 90 minutes to complete. Life Line Screening tests more than one million people a year and has saved about 60,000 lives during that period.

Appointment spaces are limited and payment must be made upfront.

To register for the event and receive a $10 discount, call (888) 653-6441 or visit Norwood Crossing’s website at calendar and click the Life Line banner.
