Norridge and Harwood Heights Police Blotter: Man attempts to steal $600 worth of clothing

DUI
Mark Martinez, 48, of 4958 W. Dickens Ave., Chicago, was charged Sept, 27 with driving while under the influence, failing to provide proof of insurance and illegal transportation of alcohol following a traffic stop on the 7200 of Irving Park Road. Martinez received a Nov. 5 court date in Rolling Meadows. Bond was set at $1,000.
 
THEFT
Iashar Novruzov, 23, of 6963 W. Balmoral Ave., Chicago was charged Sept. 24 with felony theft after he allegedly attempted to leave Carson’s, 4200 N. Harlem Ave., without paying for clothing worth $619. Novruzov received a recognizance bond and an Oct. 28 court date in Rolling Meadows. Nurgali Rysbek, 19, of the same Chicago address, also was charged Sept. 24 when he allegedly attempted to leave Carson’s without paying for clothing worth $258. Rysbek received a Nov. 7 court date in Rolling Meadows. Bond was set at $1,000.
 
ASSAULT
Jaroslaw Gaska, 24, of 5222 N. Reserve Ave., Chicago, was charged Sept. 27 with assault and disorderly conduct following an altercation on the 8300 block of Lawrence Avenue. Gaska received a Nov. 5 court date in Rolling Meadows. Bond was set at $750.
 
Harwood Heights
 
DUI
Piotr Plonka, 42, of 5605 W. Goodman Ave., Chicago, was charged Sept. 21 with driving while under the influence following a traffic stop on the 4800 block of Nagle Avenue in which he had a blood alcohol level of 0.171 percent. Plonka received anOct. 29 court date in Rolling Meadows. Bond information was not available.
 
THEFT
Kristen Benson, 43, of 3909 W. Eddy St., Chicago, was charged Sept. 20 with theft and battery after she allegedly shoved a loss prevention control officer while attempting to leave Marshalls, 4725 N. Harlem Ave., without paying for bedding worth $183. Benson received a recognizance bond and a Nov. 5 court date in Rolling Meadows.
