Police blotter for Jan. 24

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Norridge and Harwood Heights police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Norridge
BATTERY
John Zukowski, 30, of 8215 W. Gunnison Ave., was charged Jan. 10 with domestic battery. He was taken into custody at his residence. A police report states he punched and choked his brother. His bond was set at $3,000. His next court date is Jan. 27.
RETAIL THEFT
Armin Krupalija, 22, of 8617 W. Foster Ave., Chicago, was charged Jan. 11 with retail theft. He was taken into custody at Carson Pirie Scott, 4214 N. Harlem Ave. A police report states he was seen removing the censor tag from two shirts. His bond was set at $1,000. His next court date is Feb. 23.
WARRANT
Michael Erickson, 22, of 112 Hughes St., Lockport, was charged Jan. 10 on a 2005 warrant out of Lockport for harboring a juvenile runaway. He was taken into custody at the Joliet Adult Detention Center after Norridge police were notified he was there. His bond was $5,000. His next court date is March 1.
Harwood Heights
DUI
Gabriela Mendoza-Valdez, 36, 2959 N. Nora Ave., Chicago, was charged Jan. 14 with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, no valid drivers license, DUI with a blood-alcohol content more than .08, DUI, driving without being licensede, operating a motor vehicle without proper insurance and speeding. He was stopped and taken into custody on the 4700 block of North Harlem Avenue. His bond was set at $1,000. His next court date is Feb. 12.
