Pedestrian, 60, struck by Norridge motorist in Park Ridge

A 60-year-old Park Ridge woman was injured when she was struck by a car while crossing a city street on the evening of Feb. 15, Park Ridge police said.
According to the accident report a 30-year-old Norridge woman just before 6 p.m. was driving her 2006 Chrysler Pacifica east on Garden Street when she made a left turn onto Prairie Avenue, striking the pedestrian, who was crossing Prairie.
The pedestrian told police she screamed at the driver and started walking faster in order to avoid being hit, but the vehicle’s front bumper struck her left hip, causing her to fall to the ground.
The woman was taken by paramedics to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge after complaining of pain in her wrist, hip and back, police said.
The driver of the Chrysler was ticketed for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
