The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Norridge and Harwood Heights police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Norridge
POSSESSION
Michael McGue, 20, 3179 Broadway St., Chicago, was charged June 1 with possession of two grams of heroin, possession of 10 syringes and theft. A police report states he attempted to leave Claire’s Boutique, 4222 Harlem Ave., without paying for items worth about $40. McGue received a June 28 court date in Rolling Meadows. Bond information was not available.
THEFT
Anthony Syslo, 21, 2124 N. 75th Court, Elmwood Park, was charged May 30 with felony theft and criminal damage to property. A police report states he damaged four pairs of jeans, worth $190, before attempting to leave Carson Pirie Scott, 4200 Harlem Ave., without paying for a pair of jeans worth $40. Syslo received a $50,000 bond and a June 27 court date in Rolling Meadows.
BATTERY
Jacqueline Woppel, 22, 3511 N. Keating Ave., Chicago, was charged June 4 with battery after she allegedly struck a patron of Skores Sports Bar and Grill, 6764 Forest Preserve Drive. Woppel received a recognizance bond and July 19 court date in Rolling Meadows.
BURGLARY
A gas generator worth $500 and a gas power washer worth $250 were reported stolen June 3 from a garage on the 4400 block of Newland Avenue.
THEFT
A television and an iPod were reported stolen June 5 from a home on the 7100 block of Gunnison Street.
TRAFFIC
Raul Flores, 27, 4822 W. Belle Plaine Ave., was charged June 2 with driving without a valid license and speeding following a traffic stop near Foster and Harlem avenues in which he reportedly was traveling 46 mph in a zone with a posted speed of 30 mph. Flores received a $2,000 bond and a July 5 court date in Rolling Meadows. Raul DeLeon, 34, 3250 Monticello Ave., Chicago, with driving without a valid license following a traffic stop on the 6700 block of Montrose Avenue. DeLeon received a recognizance bond and July 5 court date in Rolling Meadows. Juan Perez, 34, 3857 W. Brummel St., Skokie, was charged June 3 with driving while his license was suspended following a traffic stop on the 4800 block of Nagle Avenue. Perez received a $1,500 bond and July 19 court date in Rolling Meadows. Juan Pena, 22, 3702 N. Sacramento Ave., Chicago, was charged June 4 with driving without a valid license, failing to provide proof of insurance and speeding after he allegedly was driving 51 mph in a zone with a posted speed of 30 mph. Pena received a $2,000 bond and July 19 court date in Rolling Meadows.
A door was reported damaged June 2 on a vehicle parked on the 4700 block of Olcott Avenue. A car on the 4600 block of Sayre Avenue was reported damaged by acid June 4.
