Norridge, Harwood Heights police blotter for Aug. 21

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Norridge and Harwood Heights police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Norridge

THEFT

Sylwester Malinowski, 30, of 9331 Landing St. in Des Plaines, was charged Aug. 4 with theft after he allegedly attempted to leave Carson’s, 4200 N. Harlem Ave., without paying for a $3 candy bar. Malinowski received a $1,000 bond and a Sept. 26 court date in Rolling Meadows.

Adam Jablonski, 25, of 27 King Arthur Court in Northlake, was charged Aug. 1 with felony theft following an investigation into a June 14 theft in which he allegedly left Kmart, 4201 N. Harlem Ave., without paying for a bicycle. Jablonski received a $20,000 bond and an Aug. 22 court date in Rolling Meadows.

Harwood Heights

BATTERY

Jillian Shuttleworth, 30, of 6958 W. Gunnison St. in Harwood Heights, was charged Aug. 1 with battery following a reported incident with another resident of the apartment building. Shuttleworth received a $1,500 bond and a Sept. 10 court date in Rolling Meadows.

DRUGS

Alexander Mucino, 23, of 6609 Forest Preserve Drive in Harwood Heights, was charged Aug. 2 with possession of 1.5 grams of marijuana following a traffic stop on the 7000 block of Forest Preserve Drive. Mucino received an Aug. 17 court date. Bond information was not available.

TRAFFIC

Luis Pech-Herrera, 42, of 4943 N. Merrimac Ave. in Chicago, was charged Aug. 4 with driving without a license following a traffic stop on the 6800 block of Montrose Avenue. Pech-Herrera received a recognizance bond and an Aug. 31 court date in Rolling Meadows.

VANDALISM

A side view mirror was reported damaged Aug. 8 on a vehicle parked on the 4500 block of Oak Park Avenue.
