Norridge, Harwood Heights police blotter for Sept. 4

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Norridge and Harwood Heights police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Norridge
BATTERY
Christian Kern, 19, 4226 N. New England Ave. in Harwood Heights, was charged Aug. 26 with battery following an incident in a parking lot on the 4400 block of Harlem Avenue.
THEFT
Miguel Quintana, 41, 3051 N. Menard Ave. in Chicago, was charged Aug. 24 with theft after he allegedly attempted to leave Kmart, 4201 N. Harlem Ave., without paying for three packages of razor blades. Quintana received a $1,000 bond and a Sept. 26 court date in Rolling Meadows.
Harwood Heights
THEFT
Gerda Manning, 68, 3125 N. Osceola Ave. in Chicago, was charged Aug. 21 with theft after she allegedly attempted to leave Butera Market, 4761 N. Nagle Ave., without paying for two, three-quart jugs of olive oil worth $40. Manning received a recognizance bond and a Sept. 17 court date in Rolling Meadows.
