Norridge, Harwood Heights police blotter for Sept. 11

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Norridge and Harwood Heights police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Norridge

DUI

Piotr Rozycki, 46, 7526 W. Lawrence Ave. in Harwood Heights, was charged Aug. 29 with driving while under the influence and leaving the scene following an accident on the 7600 block of Belleplaine Avenue. Rozycki received a $1,000 bond and a Sept. 17 court date in Rolling Meadows.

THEFT

James Edwards, 23, 5046 W. Division St. in Chicago, was charged Sept. 2 with theft after he allegedly attempted to leave Kohl’s, 4220 N. Harlem Ave., without paying for two pairs of blue jeans and a pair of gym shoes. Edwards received a $1,000 bond and a Sept. 26 court date in Rolling Meadows.

Harwood Heights

DRUGS

Armando Garcia, 20, 4448 N. Sawyer Ave. in Chicago, was charged Aug. 28 with possession of less than one gram of marijuana following an incident on the 4400 block of Nagle Avenue. Garcia received a recognizance bond and a Sept. 17 court date in Rolling Meadows.

TRAFFIC

Daniel Quinones, 22, 4106 N. Pulaski Road in Chicago, was charged Aug. 28 with driving while his license was suspended, failing to provide proof of insurance and speeding on the 6800 block of Forest Preserve Drive after the vehicle he was driving allegedly was traveling 62 mph in a 35 mph zone. Quinones received a recognizance bond and a Sept. 27 court date in Rolling Meadows.

TRESPASS

Leonard Malatare, 57, 6818 Forest Preserve Drive, was charged Sept. 4 with trespassing following an incident on the 6700 block of Forest Preserve Drive. Malatare received a recognizance bond and an Oct. 4 court date in Rolling Meadows.~.
