NORRIDGE — The Norridge Village Board has revoked the business license of Hollywood Spa, 5050 N. Cumberland Ave.
Among the violations cited by the village in its revocation were:
• Failing to have a licensed massage therapist on site;
• Offering or agreeing to perform a sex act, and;
• Eating and drinking in a work area.
Peter Lee, representing the business at the hearing, said any remarks would be made at the appeals hearing.
No date for the hearing has been set.
Norridge Det. Cpl. Brian Loughnar testified Sept. 12 that he initiated a preliminary investigation after allegedly finding two online listings for Hollywood Spa offering more than massages.
He said he then enlisted the aid of the Cook County Sheriff’s Department to conduct an undercover operation.
Police Cmdr. Michael Anton of the county sheriff’s department testified an investigator with the department entered the spa, received a massage and then allegedly received an offer of oral sex.
Both Loughnar and Anton testified they saw mattresses in a couple of the rooms in the spa. Loughnar said the building contained a kitchen where food was cooking when he entered.
He also said he confiscated the location’s business and massages licenses.
