Norridge, Harwood Heights police blotter for Oct. 2

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Norridge and Harwood Heights police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of a law can make that determination.

Norridge

THEFT

Irma Garcia, 55, 1620 W. Addison St. in Chicago, was charged Sept. 21 with felony theft after she allegedly attempted to leave Carson’s, 4200 N. Harlem Ave., without paying for merchandise worth $383. Garcia received a $5,000 bond and an initial court date of Sept. 25.

Oleg Marchenko, 24, 1120 Westfield Way in Mundelein, was charged Sept. 20 with theft after he allegedly attempted to leave Kohl’s, 4220 N. Harlem Ave., without paying for merchandise worth $58. Marchenko received a $1,000 bond and an Oct. 30 court date in Rolling Meadows.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Biagio Scrivano, 74, 4721 N. Thatcher Ave. in Norridge, was charged Sept. 20 with disorderly conduct following an incident on the 8500 block of Lawrence Avenue. Scrivano received a recognizance bond and an Oct. 26 court date in Rolling Meadows.

Harwood Heights

DUI

Vasile Cret, 47, 4904 N. Harlem Ave. in Harwood Heights, was charged Sept. 22 with driving while under the influence, illegally transporting alcohol and speeding following a traffic stop near Montrose Avenue and Forest Preserve Drive. He allegedly was driving 54 mph in a 35 mph zone. Cret received an Oct. 19 court date in Rolling Meadows. Bond information was not available.

TRAFFIC

Victor Diaz, 20, 2144 N. Marmora Ave. in Chicago, was charged Sept. 18 with driving without a license, failing to provide proof of insurance, driving a vehicle with suspended registration and speeding following a traffic stop on the 5100 block of Nagle Avenue. Diaz received a $2,000 bond and an Oct. 12 court date in Rolling Meadows.
