Norridge police blotter

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Norridge and Harwood Heights police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of a law can make that determination.

Norridge

THEFT

Lenka Zapletalova, 59, 2256 Hawthorne Ave., Westchester, was charged Jan. 5 with felony theft after she allegedly attempted to leave Kohl’s, 4220 N. Harlem Ave., without paying for jewelry worth $326. Zapletalova received a Feb. 7 court date in Rolling Meadows. Bond was set at $15,000.

Harwood Heights

THEFT

Michael McDonald, 40, 4548 N. Oak Park Ave., Harwood Heights, was charged with four counts of theft after he allegedly told his victim he had locked himself out of his home and needed a ladder and money. Bond and court information was not available.

DRUGS

Rommel Buena, 24, 4853 N. Mulligan Ave., Chicago, was charged Dec. 30 with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, failing to provide proof of insurance and driving with expired registration after a traffic stop on the 4800 block of Harlem Avenue. Buena received a Feb. 7 court date in Rolling Meadows. Bond information was not available.

DUI

Otto Monzon, 46, 1512 N. 21st Ave., Melrose Park, was charged Dec. 25 with driving while under the influence following a traffic stop near Sunnyside and Narragansett avenues. Monzon received a recognizance bond and a Feb. 27 court date in Rolling Meadows.
