Resurrection hosts holiday performances

Join in the festivities as the Fine Arts Department of Resurrection College Prep High School presents a variety of showcase performances and concerts to share the holiday spirit. The community is welcome to attend these events, all of which will be held at the school, 7500 W. Talcott Ave., Chicago.
The Holiday Dance Showcase, featuring the students in the dance program at Resurrection along with the Orchesis competitive dance team, under the direction of Stephanie Mueller, will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 30 in the Resurrection Little Theatre.
“Silent Night/Sacred Night,” a holiday chamber concert, featuring the Resurrection Chamber Ensemble, under the direction of Mike Longo, will be featured at 7 p.m. Dec. 3 in the school chapel.
“A Charlie Brown Christmas,” a holiday drama showcase will be presented at 7 p.m. Dec. 7 in the Little Theatre, featuring Resurrection’s advanced drama students, under the guidance of Tony Muscarello.
Sounds of the Season, a holiday music concert will be given at 3 p.m. Dec. 9 in the Little Theatre, featuring the Resurrection/Notre Dame Band under the direction of Mike Wallace, the Resurrection/ Notre Dame Jazz Band under the direction of Darren Scorza, and Resurrection/ Notre Dame Concert Choir and the Resurrection Women’s Choir under the direction of Katie Rholl.
Most performances are free or for a nominal fee.

Girls’ Night Out
The Resurrection College Prep High School Parents Club presents Girls’ Night Out from 7-10 p.m. Dec. 13. Admission is free and all women and girls in the community are welcome to enjoy shopping, raffles, refreshments and more.
Vendors will be selling jewelry, handbags, accessories, specialty food items and other gift items. The Resurrection Bandit Boutique will be open selling Resurrection Spirit apparel. The Gold Refinery will also be available to turn silver or gold into holiday cash.
