Children have been learning how to strike, kick and block in Kid’s Karate Club classes at the Norridge Park District for about 20 years.
The weekly classes are designed to help kids ages 4 to 13 build self-esteem and confidence as they work they way up from white belt to junior black belt. They also learn self-defense and spar with each other using pads to prepare for tournaments.
