The statewide coloring contest sponsored by the Illinois State Dental Society during National Children’s Dental Health Month in February yielded more than 5,000 entries from across the state. One of those entries was from Julia Ryuzek of Norridge, who won third place in the kindergarteners’ category. Julia won a $10 Wal-Mart gift card. Now in its 22nd year, the “Rock Your Smile” themed contest is for kindergarten through third-grade students. The next contest will take place in February 2014.
